Soulbound Stories is a platform that helps you stay connected with your loved ones through automated messages. Whether it's birthday wishes, anniversary reminders, or legacy messages that are sent when you're no longer here—we ensure your words reach the people who matter most.
You add your loved ones, create automations (scheduled messages), and we handle the rest. Our weekly "alive check" emails ensure that legacy messages are only sent when appropriate.
Click "Loved Ones" in the sidebar menu to view all the people you've added.
Click the "Add Loved One" button in the top right corner of the page.
Enter their full name, email address, and select your relationship with them (spouse, parent, friend, etc.). You can also add a nickname for easy reference.
Your loved one will receive a verification email. They need to confirm they want to receive messages from you. This ensures consent and prevents spam.
Automations are scheduled messages that are sent automatically on specific dates or when certain conditions are met. They can be one-time or recurring.
• Birthday Messages - Sent on your loved one's birthday • Anniversary Reminders - Sent on important anniversaries • Holiday Greetings - Sent on holidays like Christmas, New Year, etc. • Legacy Messages - Sent when you're no longer responding to alive checks
1. Go to "Automations" in the sidebar 2. Click "Create Automation" 3. Select the recipient (loved one) 4. Choose the automation type 5. Write your message 6. Set the date/trigger 7. Save!
Memories are precious moments and stories you want to preserve and share with your loved ones. You can capture the story, who was there, how it made you feel, and attach photos or videos.
1. Go to "Memories" in the sidebar 2. Click "Add Memory" 3. Give it a title and set the date 4. Write the story of what happened 5. Add who was there and how you felt 6. Attach media links (photos, videos) 7. Tag which loved ones should receive this memory
When you tag loved ones in a memory, they become eligible to receive this memory in their automation emails. This is a powerful way to share specific stories with specific people.
You can attach links to photos and videos stored on Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, S3, or Mega. Make sure the links are publicly accessible or that you share access directly with recipients.
When creating or editing an automation, you can import a memory directly into your email message. This automatically includes the story, feelings, people involved, and media links for a rich, personal message.
Life Interview is a thoughtful questionnaire designed to help you capture your wisdom, values, and life experiences. Through a series of meaningful questions, you can share your perspectives on life, relationships, and lessons learned with your loved ones.
We provide 10-15 carefully crafted questions across categories like Life Values, Family & Relationships, Career & Purpose, and more. These questions are designed to prompt deep reflection and meaningful responses that your loved ones will treasure.
You can add your own custom questions (up to 20 total) to capture thoughts that are unique to your life and relationships. Simply click "Add Custom Question" and choose from various categories.
Each answer can be shared with specific loved ones. Only verified loved ones appear as recipient options—this ensures your intimate reflections reach the right people.
Take your time with each question. You have up to 5,000 characters per answer to fully express your thoughts. Your answers are saved automatically, and you can revisit and edit them anytime.
Questions are organized into categories: Life Values, Family & Relationships, Career & Purpose, Memories & Stories, Wisdom & Advice, Faith & Beliefs, Fun & Personal, Future Wishes, Gratitude, and Legacy.
Legacy messages are special messages that are only sent when you're no longer responding to our weekly alive check emails. They're your final words to the people you love.
We send you a weekly "alive check" email. If you don't respond for a certain period (typically after multiple missed checks), we begin the confirmation process. Emergency contacts are notified before any legacy messages are sent.
Take your time writing these messages. Share memories, express gratitude, offer guidance, and let your loved ones know how much they meant to you. These words will be cherished forever.
Alive checks are weekly emails we send to confirm you're still with us. They're simple—just click a button in the email to let us know you're okay.
Alive checks ensure that legacy messages are only sent when appropriate. Without regular confirmation, we can't know when to deliver your final messages.
If you miss an alive check, we'll send reminders. After several missed checks, we'll contact your emergency contacts to verify your status before sending any legacy messages.
All messages and personal data are encrypted. We never share your information with third parties. Your messages are stored securely until they're ready to be delivered.
We only send messages to people who have verified their email and consented to receive messages from you. This protects everyone involved.
You can request account deletion at any time from Settings. This will permanently delete all your data, messages, and automations after a 30-day grace period.
